Homework Policy/Expectations

§The homework calendar reflects homework assigned on that day. Homework is expected to be completed for the next class meeting. Students who do not complete Homework have the opportunity to complete the homework in class for 50%. Any homework not completed before or on the due date will result as a zero. It is the student's Personal Responsibility to complete all assignments on time. No late work will be accepted.

REMEMBER YOUR CURRENT EVENTS!

•10 per quarter

•Everyone will have a chance to go every other day

No current event can be repeated or added to.

•No sports, unless it is a significant event in history

•Be prepared with several Events

•30 seconds in length

You must complete 10 current events per quarter. Be sure to explain: Who, What, Where and When.

Character Education:

1 per quarter

Making A Difference

•Tom Brokaw: "It's easy to make a buck. It's a lot tougher to make a difference"

•i.e. food pantry, girl/Boy scouts, church, 4H,

Grades Matter!

•Homework 25%

•Test/ quizzes 35%

•Current Events 10%

Projects/papers 20%

class work 10%
